The CCM JetSpeed FT2 Goalie Skates are a highly welcomed addition from CCM and is the lightest goalie skate CCM has ever produced. The FT2 features a cowling-less design, L1TEFRAME 360 EVO with RocketFrame composite, and CCM’s new SpeedBlade XSG Holder. Compared to the old Attack Profile Holder, the new SB XSG Holder is 60% lighter and even features CCM’s patented BladeLock System, allowing goalies to swap out steel in seconds.
By taking away the cowling and introducing their new XSG1 Black Steel that is 2mm taller than traditional steel, the FT2 also provides one of the best attack angles on the market. The XSG1 Black Steel as well has a black oxide coating that improves edge life and prevents corrosion.
One of the biggest designs to hit the market this year is CCM’s enhanced one-piece boot. The JetSpeed FT2’s new L1TEFRAME 360 EVO boot does not have an outsole, stitching, or glue, providing goalies with unmatched energy transfer for pure performance. The lower cut boot collar, known as the Asymmetric Flex Stance, is strategically designed to allow goalies to get deeper in their stance for a quicker butterfly and quick recovery back to power push positions.
Internally, the FT2 goalie skate boasts a Total-Dri Liner with DuraZone Abrasion Patches that excels at wicking away moisture and resisting wear and tear. The tongue offers advanced protection, comfort, and the forward flex that goalies need to outperform their opposition. Lastly, CCM’s Ortholite footbed is designed to help goalies maximize their energy transfer for cross-crease pushes while remaining extremely comfortable all game long.
